Emissary of the Sea quest

"Two of the spire settlements being erected are on the coast! The High Queen charges the Outsider with guarding the stretch of coast between them, and consorting with the sea life there to aid in the construction of ports!

Unfortunately, during the course of his work, two Seelie shall attempt to destroy the work being done! The Outsider must fend off these attackers or fail in his quest."

Four small, strange black fish, seemingly perfectly able to swim through the air, shall begin to attend the Outsider wherever he goes. Their fins are long and gauzy, trailing behind them through the air, and imps and other natives call them Maidenfish, for their fins trail like a fine lady's train, and they'll flit about him like pilotfish around a shark.

They will sometimes, in fact, take the forms of young women in long black dresses with beautifully gauzy trains, their faces veiled, and shall never speak but to sing the drabwurld's most haunting songs of sea when they are alone with their lord. They will act as servants to the Outsider, acting in beautiful concert with one another to fulfill the simplest tasks (such as pulling out a chair for him) to maintaining and beautifying shrines made for him.

The Outsider will receive an artifact called the drowned crown, a pitted old iron circlet. It will allow him to teleport to seaside locations during the night... and only for a night! Come morning, he will return to his original location.

This assistance will come in the form of a small, black-bladed knife! Simply hold it aloft and focus on a person, place, or missing object the bearer wishes to find, and the bearer's shadow will begin moving towards it, guiding the way.

004 | The Uprising Dead | November 2014

The Outsider will be given a small red gem to set into one of the empty spaces in the Drowned Crown; it will allow him to summon and control fire, to the extent of being able to materialize many small blasts. However, it shall only work at night!

005 | The White Hart Hunt | December 2014

The Outsider will receive two Wolfhound puppies! One will be fearsome and brave, while the other will be unusually timid and attempt to live in his shirt most of the time. The smaller pup only finds his fangs when the Outsider is being threatened, when it becomes the more vicious of the two.

He will initially discover them munching down a Christmas pudding off the floor, gleefully making a mess.

The Drowned Crown will receive a ruddy brown gem. This can be used to turn one piece of cloth into a selkie's cloak, that then lets the wearer transform between selkie and human forms. However, the cloth only stays transformed for four turns of the tide, and the Outsider can only do this to once cloth at a time.
